The 80% of Italian people is worried about the safety of food. The survey, realised by the Observatory of Technology and Science in Society, show an impressive outcome: the concern about what we eat every day has increased significantly. The Italians are considerably more worried than other Europeans -the 40% more than the least worried ones, Austrians and Finnish.
The concerns are related for the 23,6% to the fear of not accurate health inspections and for the 23, 2% to the possibility of residual hormones or antibiothics within the meat.
It’s interesting to underline that the increase of worries about food is probably influenced by the rising awarness of the connection between what we eat and our health.
