We present a preview of the paper which will be published in the Book of Papers of the XII International Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) Conference.
The paper outlines the results of the first exploratory survey on the attitudes of Italian researchers with regard to their interaction with the mass media and the general public, and conducted on two interdisciplinary research institutions.
