Liquid nitrogen ice-cream, coffee broth, a talking dog devoted to science and playing plants. What else can we expect from the encounter between science and society? Shapes, words, sounds, visions and flavours: the third edition of “Science and society meet in architecture”, promoted by Observa-Science in society and by the Municipality of Caldogno, stems from the encounter between experts and citizens, research and practice, creativity and innovation.
After the success registered during the first two editions, also this year, from April 16th to 19th, 2009, Villa Caldogno will set the scene for singular encounters between artists, writers, scientists and architects. Guests of the evenings: br> Luca Mercalli and Gianni Biondillo, Neri Marcorè and Giorgio Vallortigara, Andrea Possenti and Arturo Stàlteri, Arabeschi di latte and Davide Cassi.
Amongst this edition’s novelties: poetry reading, ‘scientific’ theatre and a special evening dedicated to the Universe with the piano concert by Artuto Stàlteri and two unusual films for late-night-movie lovers. On Sunday afternoon the ‘ architecture of taste’, with gastronomic inventions and dessert tasting.
