On 12th and 13th January, 2007 some of the leading science communication experts from five continents will be in Venice to discuss trends and changes in the relationship between scientists and citizens: which theoretical models and which practical tools are useful to understand a field that rapidly changes and has an increasing strategical importance?
One of the workshop’s main aims is to finalize the contents of the forthcoming Handbook of Science Communication, edited by Massimiano Bucchi (Trento University) and Bruce Lewenstein (Cornell University) and published by Routledge in 2007.
The organization of the next world PCST meeting (PCST: Public Communication of Science and Technology), taking place in Sweden in 2008, will be also discussed.
The event is organized by The Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere e Arti, in cooperation with Observa-Science in Society and with the contribution of European Commission.
